What is the history of these rugs? The production of these rugs was primarily intended for the foreign market, and their production increased in the second half of the 19th century. In the 20th century, Sarough rugs were the most exported rugs to the West, particularly to the United States, where they were highly valued for their strong structure, elegant design, and harmonious colors with gentle shades.
